well I was at Barnes & Noble the other day, looking at the manga, and I realized all my favorite series were ending except ONE.

I've collected manga since I was like...13. I CAN'T LET THIS END. D:

so please, recommend me ye old Japanese comikku.

however I'm kinda picky about what I read...so I'll give you a general area to shoot for. I'm lenient as long as the comic's vaguely what I like, so here're some guidelines:

my favorite series, either manga, anime, or both, are Cyborg 009, MAR, Full Metal Alchemist, D.N.Angel, Crescent Moon, +Anima, and Wolf's Rain.

I like dystopic themes, or at least a world where something's gone horribly wrong. I don't really like "save the world" stories, though, but I've enjoyed some like that...

I really don't like, though, when the main character (or a small handful of mains) is superpowerful and outshines all the other characters (hi DBZ). just...no.

I like an original plot with original and believable characters, or a typical plot that spirals into something totally different. awesome plot twists are a plus.

I prefer it to be around 10 volumes. I don't really like long-running stories, in any medium...it's just my preference. however MAR had 15 volumes and still followed the same plot the whole way through, so I stuck with it that way. I guess I just like one "season," one story arc, if you will.

lastly, I like minimal romance and close to nonexistent fanservice. ick, fanservice.

every rule has its exceptions though...so I'll probably look up any recommendation you guys give me~!
